
We are excited to welcome Dr. Yuta Nakanishi to the Orthopaedic Sport Medicine team at Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic. As an internationally recognized centre for sport and exercise medicine, Fowler Kennedy is committed to delivering world-class, integrated care that helps patients return to the activities they love — and Dr. Nakanishi’s addition further strengthens that commitment.
Dr. Nakanishi joins Fowler Kennedy’s renowned orthopaedic team, where he will work alongside specialists dedicated to treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and sport-related injuries.
Dr. Nakanishi is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, with a particular focus on knee injuries and joint preservation surgery. He completed his orthopaedic training at Kobe University in Japan, one of the country’s leading academic institutions, and also holds a PhD from Kobe University. He further advanced his expertise through a clinical fellowship in Orthopaedic Sport Medicine at Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic, bringing both international training and local experience to his role.
Dr. Nakanishi has extensive experience caring for athletes at all levels. He has served as a team physician for the Japan U16 Men’s National Volleyball Team and the Panasonic Blueton professional men’s volleyball team, supporting high-performance athletes in both training and competition environments.
An active contributor to the field, Dr. Nakanishi has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, with his research published in leading journals. He is committed to evidence-based, patient-centered care, while continuing to advance orthopaedic sport medicine through research, education, and collaboration.
