The Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic is a leading non-profit centre for sport and exercise medicine. We have clinics on the Western University and Fanshawe College campuses.
There are numerous volunteer opportunities within Fowler Kennedy. We welcome applications from university, college and senior high school students who are interested in volunteering at one of our clinics.
Sessions available for volunteering:
• September to December
• January to April
• May to August
Physiotherapy – As a volunteer you will play a role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our clinic. You will be assisting with patient care activities as well as carrying out any other duties as directed by staff.
Please Note: All volunteer positions in Fowler Kennedy’s Physiotherapy Department for the Fall 2024 term have been filled.

Orthopaedics – Third year nursing students from the Western-Fanshawe program are accepted to assist nursing staff with various tasks.
Submit volunteer application with current CV to volunteer@fowlerkennedy.com
Physiotherapy — Assisting with patient care activities as directed by a staff physiotherapist. Other tasks may include laundry, cleaning beds, and equipment and changing linen.
Orthopaedics — Third-year nursing students from the Western-Fanshawe program are accepted to assist nursing staff with various tasks.

If accepted for a volunteer position, the following mandatory training materials will be sent to you:

• WHMIS
• Accessibility Training
• Privacy and Confidentiality
• Dress Code
Once you have reviewed these materials, please download, print, and sign and date the volunteer contract. This must be given to the volunteer supervisor at your orientation session.
