Physiotherapy
Santana graduated from the University of Western Ontario in April 2025 with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, and is working towards her goal of attaining her Master’s in Physical Therapy. Santana holds her First Responder and Basic Life Support certifications, and is continuing to broaden her qualifications, aligning with acute injury management, mental health, and inclusive healthcare.
With experience as a former competitive gymnast, paired with her academic background, Santana has developed a deep understanding and passion for therapeutic exercise, optimizing athletic performance, and increasing individuals’ functional capacity for movement. Her role as a Physical Therapy Assistant allows her to further develop and fine-tune those skills. Santana has also worked as an assistant competitive gymnastics coach, and with the university as a Research Assistant on media studies examining mega sporting events, and various sports cultures.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys staying active, cooking, reading, and connecting with her peers and community. She strongly values promoting well-balanced lifestyles that integrate physical, mental, and social health in tandem.
