Currently a Physiotherapy Consultant at the clinic, Lorie has worked at the clinic for 30 years. Lorie graduated from McGill University with a BScPT in 1984. While working at University Hospital and the then, JC Kennedy Athletic Injuries Clinic, she completed her MScPT at the University of Western Ontario in 1994. She has had an academic appointment in the Faculty of Health Sciences, UWO teaching the Sport Physiotherapy elective for 22 years. In 1990, Lorie organized and participated in the first Australia-Canada physiotherapy exchange. In 1995, she started the Sport Physiotherapy Fellowship, to promote the specialization Sport Physiotherapy. To date, 35 physiotherapists have completed this program.
Lorie has an active research career, with 25 peer-reviewed articles, 2 book chapters and many international, national and local presentations. She has also provided medical coverage at a variety of sporting events over the last 34 years.
