Kaitlyn graduated from Western University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science, Honours Specialization in Kinesiology and again in 2014 with a Master of Physical Therapy Degree. After graduation, Kaitlyn completed two sport Physiotherapy fellowships at Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic and went on to obtain her Diploma in Sport Physiotherapy and is thereby designated a Registered International Sport Physical Therapist. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists, by virtue of completing the Master of Clinical Science program in Advanced Health Care Practice in the field of Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Western University in 2018 and finally, she holds her certification in integrated dry needling.
In the field, Kaitlyn has worked with Hockey Canada’s National Women’s Teams since 2015, with the U18, Development and Senior Women’s programs in varying capacities. In 2017 she traveled to the Czech Republic with the U18’s where they earned a silver medal at the IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship and most recently she was a part of the medical staff for Hockey Canada’s Senior National Women’s Team, capturing gold at the 2022 IIHF Women’s World Hockey Championships in Denmark.
Outside of the clinic and the rink, Kaitlyn continues to value and integrate the world of academia into her practice. She began teaching at Western University in 2019 as a part time instructor in the Master of Physical Therapy program and currently is an adjunct instructor in Western’s Master of Clinical Science program in Advanced Health Care Practice, in the field of Sport and Exercise Medicine.
