Dr. Jevremovic first completed her family medicine and emergency medicine training at McGill University, and then came to Fowler Kennedy in 2002 where she completed her sport medicine fellowship. She has been working as a primary care sport and exercise medicine physician since, seeing patients and teaching medical students and residents.
She joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2010, and has since been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor.
She has also been actively involved with varsity sports at Western since joining the clinic, and is currently working with the women’s rugby team.
Throughout her career, she has covered a number of sporting events locally, provincially, nationally and internationally, and is currently the Chief Medical Advisor for Skate Canada.
She had attended a number of Major Games including Pan Ams and Olympics, and has been the Chief Medical Officer for a number of them in the past including the Ontario Summer and Winter Games, the Francophonie Games in Niger, World Lacrosse and World Figure Skating Championships.
Dr. Jevremovic has also completed a number of leadership roles during her career including President of the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM), Board Director of the Ontario Medical Association (OMA), Section Chair and Tarriff Chair of the OMA Sport and Exercise Medicine Section, and Member of the College Of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Sport and Exercise Medicine Committee.
She has been involved in teaching presentations and CME courses at the University level as well as at provincial, national and international conferences.
She has consulted on a few Government initiatives including the development of the Rapid Access Clinics (RACs) for lower back pain and knee/hip OA, and the development of Standardized MRI and CT protocols including check lists.
She is currently the Chair of CASEM Communication Committee and a member of its Credentials Committee, and she continues to chair CASEM’s Sideline Emergency Medicine Course.
She is also a peer Assessor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
Finally, she is a strong advocate for sport and exercise medicine for people of all ages and level of activity.
