Knee Research Fellowship

We are currently accepting applications for the position of Knee Research Fellow under the supervision of Dr Al Getgood at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine clinic, University of Western Ontario, London, Canada.

Applicants must be an orthopaedic surgeon with a significant interest in soft tissue knee reconstruction and sports medicine.

The successful applicant will join a dynamic group of researchers working primarily in lower limb biomechanics. They will provide surgical expertise in the development and execution of a range of cadaveric studies utilizing novel testing apparatus, including a 6 degree of freedom motion simulator, a CT based 5 degree of freedom strain measurement/motion simulator and an Instron materials testing device.

Depending upon the medical qualifications held by the successful applicant, there may be an opportunity for clinical exposure to complex knee surgery, in both and clinic and operating room environments.
