Dr. Tony Cogliano spent two weeks in Torino, Italy as the CMO for the Canadians at the World University Winter Games.

Dr. Connie Lebrun is the Medical Director for the Canadian Snowboard Federation. Connie was with the team at the World Championships in Arosa Switzerland from January 12-20th 2007. All three disciplines (Half-pipe, Alpine and Snowboard Cross) were represented. The team is focusing on building for Vancouver in 2010.

Lorie Forwell will be presenting a study on Acromioclavicular Joint (ACJ) at the World Congress of Physical Therapy (WCPT) in Vancouver in June, 2007.

Dr. Melanie Bonin (current Sport Medicine Fellow) was involved in providing medical care for the Para–Alpine ski team Kimberly BC. The 2007 TELUS IPC World Cup includes Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super G for both Men and Women.

Dr. Lisa Fischer is the President of the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine (CASM) for 2007. The Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine (CASM) is a not-for-profit organization of physicians committed to excellence in the practice of medicine as it applies to all aspects of physical activity.
