Team Award of Excellence
The Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic received the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry Team Award of Excellence. The Award is based on excellence in academic endeavour, with particular emphasis on exceptional performance in research, teaching, administration, innovation, and/or public service. In a letter from the Dean, Carol Herbert extended her personal gratitude for the Clinic's exceptional contribution to the Faculty. The award was presented on May 29th at the Celebration of Excellence Reception and Dinner 2002.The Clinic received a plaque that will be proudly displayed on their "Wall of Fame".
There were also a number of individual winners. Faculty awards were presented to:
- Dr. Thomas D. Daley, Pathology (Teaching)
- Dr. Robert Hegele, Medicine (Research)
- Dr. D. Grant McFadden, Microbiology & Immunology (Research)
- Dr. Gregor Reid, Surgery (Research)
- Dr. James Silcox, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, (Teaching /Administration/Innovation)
Staff awards went to
