Sport Medicine Physician Receives Award

Dr. Anthony Luke of the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic received the Network Research Award from the International Network of Performing and Visual Arts Schools in October. His research project, The Determinants of Injuries in Young Dancers, provides a framework for the type of injury surveillance program which would help identify early injuries, and ultimately help prevent on-going or more serious injuries. Luke, who was selected from nominees throughout North America, also received the Alice G. Brandfonbrener Young Investigator Award for the project from the Performing Arts Medicine Association in 2001.
