Tradition of ExcellencePatient CareMost patients consist of men, women and children from every segment of society (physically fit and the unfit, weekend warriors, masters athletes and the disabled). The high-calibre, aggressive treatment demanded by the world class athletes that are attracted to the clinic, is the standard set for all patients. Using state-of-the-art diagnostic and rehabilitation equipment our highly trained staff will identify underlying conditions and develop a rehabilitation plan tailored to meet your specific needs. If necessary, patients will be referral to one of the many professionals in our referral network throughout Southwestern Ontario. ResearchThrough research and development, the clinic strives to discover new surgical and non-surgical techniques to improve the quality of care for active individuals. Projects such as preventing chronic shoulder dislocation in the high-risk under 30 age group; understanding the damage caused by swelling from sprained ankles; studying the role of proprioception in the control of shoulder movement; and developing new surgical techniques for knee injuries are examples of some of the research work done at the clinic. EducationEducation is a high priority at the clinic. Each year countless students benefit from the various enrichment programs offered by the clinic. Physiotherapy students, medical and surgical residents, nursing and kinesiology students all seek opportunities to work with the clinic's experienced staff. Patient education and community outreach programs through high schools and recreational associations are also a regular occurrence. | ||||||
